Our Story
The Bhaktapur Football Club is a professional football club dedicated to both sporting excellence and social responsibility. Officially established on Falgun 18, 2067 B.S., the club was legally recognized on Ashad 9, 2076 B.S., after years of groundwork and discussions.
The club's journey began under the guidance of renowned coaches Jagjit Shrestha, Balgopal, Rupesh Shakya, Damodar Shilpakar, Rabiraj Rai, and Rabi Kawan, who played a vital role in shaping its foundation. Initially, Bhaktapur FC focused on training Under-14 and Under-16 players alongside its senior team. Today, the club stands as a testament to that vision, continuously developing football in Bhaktapur and aiming to be the city's pride.
Despite not having our own private ground, we've made the most of public spaces(Maheshwori Khel Maidan in Bhaktapur) and community facilities to train and nurture talent, under the guidance of an A-License coach and other experienced football legends. With a strong commitment to nurturing young talent and enhancing Nepalese football, Bhaktapur FC continues to strive for excellence both on and off the field.
